Is teletherapy less effective than in-person?
Virtual therapy offers the same level of support, connection, and effectiveness as in-person sessions—without the hassle of commuting. Research shows that telehealth therapy can be just as beneficial, providing a safe and comfortable space for growth, healing, and meaningful progress. With the flexibility to meet from home or any private space, you can prioritize your mental health on your schedule. Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, stress, relationships, or personal growth, telehealth ensures you get the care you need—anytime, anywhere.

What is the process to get started?
When you contact me, we will schedule a free 15 minute consultation to go over your needs. I will get your contact information, and send you the intake paperwork and consents we need completed before starting therapy. Then, we will book an initial intake appointment. The intake is an opportunity to discuss your concerns, goals, and what brought you to therapy. We’ll explore your background, answer any questions, and begin developing a plan tailored to your needs.
If you’re seeing me for couples therapy, session 1 is an intake as a couple, session 2 and 3 are individual sessions, one for you and one for your partner. The separate individual sessions give us to go over anything important for me to know about as your therapist with full transparency. For instance, a trauma history that you want me to take into consideration in our therapy work but that your partner isn’t aware of. Our 4th session and all sessions afterward are together as a couple.

How can I get on your waitlist?

-
Do you take insurance?
No, I am an out of network provider. I choose not to panel with insurance because it can pose limitations to privacy, confidentiality, and duration of treatment. Insurance companies require a diagnosis, and this diagnosis stays with you. By opting for a provider who doesn’t take insurance, you have the highest quality services right at your fingertips - no insurance hassle, no waiting, no bullshit.
-
What modalities do you use?
I integrate a variety of proven therapeutic approaches. Therapy is simply NOT one size fits all, and treatment is always adapted to meet your specific needs.
I’ll share a bit about some of the theories I like to implement. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and The Gottman Method, I help individuals and couples build secure, fulfilling relationships. Internal Family Systems (IFS) allows us to explore and heal different parts of yourself, fostering self-awareness and inner harmony. Somatic and Experiential Therapies help connect mind and body, releasing stored emotions and promoting healing on a deeper level. Rooted in Family Systems Theory, my work also considers how past and present relationships shape your experiences. By blending these powerful modalities, I create a personalized, supportive space for transformation and growth.
-
How soon will I see an improvement?
Many of my clients experience relief and insight within the first few sessions, while deeper, lasting change often takes more time. As I’m sure you already know, the timeline varies - and largely depends on how consistent and engaged you are with the work we are doing. Those who actively participate, apply strategies between sessions, and maintain open communication with their therapist often see faster, more meaningful results. Regardless of the timeline, each session is designed to bring you closer to clarity, resilience, and personal growth at a pace that feels right for you.
-
How often should I come to therapy?
Most clients start with weekly or biweekly sessions for consistency and progress. As you gain insight and confidence, we may adjust the frequency based on your needs.

What does a Marriage and Family Therapist do?
A Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) is a licensed mental health professional trained to help individuals, couples, and families navigate relationship challenges, mental health concerns, and life transitions. MFTs take a holistic, relationship-focused approach, considering how family dynamics and social systems impact well-being. Using evidence-based therapies, they assist with communication issues, conflict resolution, anxiety, depression, and more. With specialized training in systemic therapy, MFTs provide a supportive space for lasting change.

What is systemic therapy?
Systemic therapy is a holistic, relationship-focused approach that explores how our relationships and environment shape thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Rather than treating issues in isolation, it looks at patterns and dynamics within families, couples, and social systems to create meaningful change.
This approach helps with relationship conflicts, family challenges, anxiety, depression, and life transitions by improving communication, strengthening connections, and leveraging existing strengths for lasting well-being.
